Recently back from 8 day trip on the Clarence River (South Island New Zealand). 11 of us, including an Australian contingent of 6, paddled in a variety of Incept boats, but notably we ran the new Blowfish SUP Board the full 179 km length.

The Clarence would have to be the longest wilderness river in New Zealand and runs the entire length at constant grade. Even where it meets the sea the river is bowling along at 6 or 7 kph.

The river trip was one of the best. I'd go back again any time.
